This is an honest sale unlike most of the sites on here that don't even have Alexa rank. Our Alexa traffic has been consistent and it has always been in the top 100,000 sites so it will always show you a graph.
I'm selling because I have to take out a loan to pay my quarterly taxes because I spent too much this year :(. This is the first time I feel like I'm really going into debt (I don't have any money lying around to pay my bills either). I was going to keep this site as part of my portfolio because this is the best layout I have ever created. If you go to the URL, you will only see a sales page. But obviously keeping it isn't the best decision right now.
All income and traffic come from multiple sources so you will never have to worry about "putting your eggs in one basket." This is another unique feature about this site.
Income
Income comes from:
1) Adsense
2) Sales
3) AdBrite CPM ads (on forums only)
4) Firefox referrals
Adsense and sales make up the majority of the profit. The rest is minimal. Adsense makes about $100/month (grows as you get more members as this is a membership site). Sales makes about $600/month. This comes out to about $700/month, and that's NET profit.
You only need a shared host which comes down to less than $10/month in expenses. So that's $700 net per month on average.
Income varies with sales sites, but the $700 is average income. Total income for 2008 is as follows:
Jan: $800
Feb: $1400 (spike in traffic, explain later)
Mar: $900
Apr: $600
May: $400
June (projected): $500-$600
Sales can spike depending on the interest in break dance at the time. For instance, when America's Best Dance Crew is running...sales can spike. That show wasn't running in May, so it dropped. The show will be running again later this month, so it's best you buy quick to take advantage of it!
In February, we did a little bit of "active" marketing (instead of just sitting on the autopilot income) so the revenue spiked a bit.
Otherwise, if you take only the other months and average it out, it comes out to about $700/month.
Traffic
Traffic to this site is HUGE.
It's a 3 yr old domain, PageRank 4, Google Authority website.
DMOZ and Google Directory listed.
This is the only authority site in its niche to be listed in DMOZ.
Ranks in top 10 for all competitive keywords in this niche and has been doing so for past 2 years.
We get about 60,000 uniques and 500,000 pageviews per month.
Traffic comes from multiple search engines including Google and Yahoo.
We also get a ton traffic from other Google authority sites (see screenshots) so it's not JUST a link from another authority.

Google has indexed 30,000 of our pages, and Yahoo has indexed about 40,000.
All pages on the site are SEO optimized so all those tens of thousands of pages will show up and rank high for long-tail keywords.
Also, Analytics does not accurately display our traffic. If you go to the index page at the domain, you will be redirected. The redirect code is ABOVE the Analytics code, so all those uniques and keywords are not counted. This bug is difficult to fix because if we changed it, the layout will be messed up for the paying members.
We have a ton of partners that send thousands of uniques in referral traffic, so if for some weird reason, every search engine in the world shut down, this site will still run.
We also get a ton of direct traffic because we have high-ranking YouTube videos and articles.

The video traffic will continue to grow. For example, if you search "Cico" in YouTube, the video above always shows in the top 10 results. This is a result of YouTube optimization (so we didn't just do SEO!)
The reason the video traffic will continue to grow is because EVERY TIME this dancer goes into a battle, people will search his name on YouTube. And he's a world record holder and is among the most famous in this niche, so he will always be searched. In fact, he's considered a "legend" by the dancers in this community, so the traffic is, in effect, TIMELESS.
Just so you can see the traffic is timeless, the video above was uploaded OVER one year ago. If you check the comments, the comments were posted just days ago. People are still arguing about it, and I never did ANY YouTube "tricks" like try to start a heated discussion. In fact, I never posted a single comment on any of my videos.
Forums
We have a very active forum with 9000+ members.
You can email all these members and try to sell to them or bring them back.
Look at the screenshots, we get as many as 300 simultaneous visitors on the forum at the same time.
I do not even post on the forum anymore. We don't even have moderators or any staff. It's a one man show (the entire site, not just the forum). The members talk to themselves and the forum runs itself.
Assets
You get all the assets along with the sale of this site.

* Custom-coded YouTube downloader script. This niche likes media (video + music), and this script keeps them coming back.
* 30 interviews with "legendary" dancers. Everyone knows these dancers. Interviewing some of these "legends" is like getting interviews with Angelina Jolie or George Cloonie (okay, slightly easier). You really won't find this anywhere else. We even have interviews with PIONEERS of the dance, some of these guys don't even dance anymore and are extremely difficult to find/reach.
* Split testing software. You get our custom coded split testing software to test the sales page. We never carried out very many tests, so by testing more, you can raise conversions and sales dramatically.
Improvements
The most obvious improvement is probably the one of the easiest. I just don't have the experience to do it.
The sales page gets about 400-500 uniques per day.
There are TWO separate sales pages (for different types of keywords, you can target it even MORE if you want).
So assuming even a very low 1% conversion rate, that's 4-5 sales per day or $80-$100/month.
If you hire an expert like Michel Fortin (michelfortin.com), he averages about 3-7% conversion rates, which means up to $700 per day with JUST the current traffic. Unfortunately, I CANNOT afford his rates, and I was actually hoping to save up for that. But with my current tax situation, I think it's better not to do this.
However, THE EASIEST way to make more money from this site is to stop having it sell lifetime memberships and charge MONTHLY. I never actually tried this because I don't have membership site software, and I was too lazy to have to "update" the site with fresh content every month. I preferred living on the autopilot income from this site. In fact, I haven't actually done a REAL update to the site in over a year. The only "updates" I've done were to add more advertisements. This will create income for years to come. If you don't know anything about this niche, hire someone from our forum to do the work for you. We have tons of knowledgable members. You can even email the 9,000 member forum list and ask who wants to help out.
The cheapest route (actually, this is free) is if you ask the "level 3 members" (members with over 100 posts) to help you out. These guys are VERY dedicated to the site and forum, and you'll know who's dedicated after just running the site for a few days. These guys come back and post and post and post to try and help the site because they love it.
So the other way to improve this site is to rank higher for certain keywords. I will give you ALL the main keywords I was targeting, but never put enough time in (laziness lol). We already rank in the top 10 consistently for all major keywords, but if you rank #1, expect HUGE income. We DO, however, rank #1 already for a variety of keywords.
I do not know how to price this website. It is NOT worth the "standard" amount of just 10-12 months ROI. If that scares you, go buy another one of those depreciating pieces of junk at 10-12 months ROI. Frankly, if you can't pay over that amount, I'm not even going to sell it to you. This site has so much value and potential. From the layout to the multiple traffic sources to the exclusive interviews with the "legends," this is a very unique offer. Even the niche itself (break dancing) is awesome and unique. It's not like this is another e-book site or jokes site or dog training site.
Honestly, how many sales like this do you ever see? You can tell I actually worked on this site, unlike all the other sites here that will depreciate right after you buy it. There's just so much to this site that makes it so valuable, I will NOT sell it at the standard price. If I have to go into debt because I can't get a good offer, so be it. My credit card isn't even maxed out yet and I still have time to find other ways to pay my debts back off.
So if you have a good offer, I'm open to BIN offers, but it has to be really reasonable. I'm not selling this site because it's going down the drain or because I want to "focus on other projects" like most sales here. If you want a REAL cash producing, long term asset, this is your chance. This site was built from the ground up and I had the long-run in mind. It's not going to just die after payment.
